High Contrast
Subject must have definite, discernable contrast - light/dark colors, textures, intellectual, alive/dead (plants - not people or animals) or any subject that is an obvious contrast.
Up Close!
“Photograph in whole or in part of one subject.” Examples include: single bloom filling the frame or detail of an object. NOT a landscape!
Pictorial
Photograph of anything! Anything goes here — including manipulations, sandwiches, special techniques, etc.
Portraiture
Must be a portrait of a person, NO PETS (unless with a person).
Extra! Extra! Read All About It
Pictures should have informative content and emotional impact, including human interest, documentary and spot news. (Note: Human interest is defined as an image depicting people in an interactive, emotional or unusual situation.

June 24, 2008 - How You See It (fun competition). Come to the June 10, 2008 meeting to receive the exact rules for this FUN competition. If you can not be at the meeting, contact Marilyn for the rules on June 11. Limit: 2 slides, 2 color prints, 2 B&W prints, 2 Digital Manipulation (code “F) & 2 Digital Realism (code “F”). Note: MAXIMUM 8 TOTAL entries, no more than 2 in one category! See p.7 (gold) for changed rule!
